Noreen Thomas
​Doubting Thomas Farms

Noreen Thomas lives north of Moorhead on the 6th generation farm, growing grains, soybeans, and hay. Thomas' experience comes from her education in Food & Nutrition, Microbiology & Chemistry as well as USDA research, product development for Celestial Seasonings in Boulder, Colorado, to her work with native tribes preserving rare Indigenous seed. Thomas has worked with NASA looking at satellite imagery and currently working with USDA researcher Brent Hulke on their farm as he is researching the development of perennial sunflowers and flax. ​She is a fellow from the Bush Foundation ​​
​and is a current Initiator fellow. 

Melany Thomas
​Doubting Thomas Farms
Melany raises certified organic small grains and row crops in northwestern Minnesota near the town of Felton. She is an amazing mom to their young daughter and a beginning farmer, now in her fifth year. Melany is a member of Minnesota Farmers Union and serves in several leadership roles, including Secretary and Treasurer of Clay County Farmers Union, and Vice Chair of the Member Advisory Committee. She is also a graduate of MFU’s New Leadership Academy. She served on the MFU Policy Committee in 2021 and NFU Policy Committee in 2022, and returned in 2023 to chair the committee.
